There's no hypocrisy here. We are grateful for Glaxo's research and support of Dr. Goadsby, but many of us can't afford the drug. I would not be surprised to learn that like most other drugs Imitrex costs far less in Canada and Mexico than it does in the U.S. Perhaps O.U.C.H. could organize trips to Toronto and Tijuana -- like those sponsored by AARP and various Congressmen for Medicare patients without supplemental drug coverage. Or O.U.C.H. could apply to the Wellcome Trust (the second-largest foundation in the world, and separate from the pharmaceutical company) to establish a fund to assist CHers in need of help paying for Imitrex and other expensive meds.
