I started out with at least 2 headaches a day
about 12 or 14 yrs ago. Even though I was treated
successfully after a year or two with verapamil
and other meds so I didn't have any full blown
headaches for weeks at a time, since I always got
shadows quite often and every time I forgot a dose
of verapamil, I still considered myself chronic.
Then 11/98 after a really bad 8-10/98 I went
through a period of months when I had no
headaches, no shadows and went all the way off my
meds. I hoped they had gone away entirely, but
now I'm either back to being chronic (too soon to
say, it hasn't been another whole year yet) or am
episodic.
Either way, it was nice while it lasted. The
combo of drugs I used last time before the break
didn't work at all this time, but the same mix
almost never works twice exactly the same way.
