Hi Jackie:
This is my first time on the board so I've just
been perusing messages and yours caught my eye.
I haven't experienced these "shadows" you speak
of, and have been relatively cluster pain-free
for quite awhile now, thanks to DHE spray. I'll
post more about that later.
However, I did have a neurologist in Northridge
many years ago, when I first started experiencing
clusters and he was pretty hip to diagnosing them,
way back in the early 80s. He did do a series of
rule-out tests, but that was okay by me. It's al-
ways a relief to know this really isn't an aneurysm
about to rupture. [g] Anyway, I don't know if you
got any replies to finding a good LA neurologist,
so if you'd like his name, let me know and I'll be
happy to share it with you. I assume he's still
practicing, though I left the LA area a few years
ago. Also, my GP, who's in Hancock Park, was also
very cool about letting me experiment with various
treatments, as new ones became available. He stayed
pretty current on that kind of stuff.
Good luck.
