Hello all...
I'm new here, but after reading several posts I feel as if I've walked every step with each of you. I'm 25 years old and I just recently have been suffering from these devastating attacks. To be more precise, I just had my first one about 2 weeks ago. The pain was so severe it awoke me one night out of a deep sleep. I just remember my left temple was throbbing and I thought my left eye was going to explode. I remember taking some Tylenol, but as you all well know that had no effect. I just laid down in the bed agonizing for the next two hours. I hope ya'll don't mind me "professing" my experience, but really no one understands when I try to explain my pain. I've had "normal" headaches before, but nothing to this extent. Now, I suffer from these headaches at least 2-3 times a day. I can actually feel the pressure all on my left side of the face when they come...and do they ever come so fast and severe! Even as I write this, I am suffering from the "aftershocks" of one right now. My whole left face feels numb practically. I don't know if any of ya'll have felt this before in your episodes, but have you felt the pain arc down into your teeth? It does with me. I actually feel the pain arcing down into each tooth on my left side of the jaw. I'm at my wits end as to why this all is happening. I've never had these kinds of headaches before. I really don't know how much more of this pain I can take. Every day seems to get worse and I feel like I'm losing my mind bit by bit. The only solace that I have, in the form of a remedy, is caffeine. I believe it helps me right before one comes on, I take about a cup of caffeine down and it seems to dilute the pain somewhat, but not completely. Anyhow, I'll get off my soapbox now, thank you all for allowing me to vent my fustration. Any comments/remarks are welcome. It's good to know, in a sense, that I'm not alone. :)
