I have been using Indocin for the past 5 yrs on and off, after many trial of drugs it was the only drug that helped me. I started indocin after being a patient at The New England Ctr for Headache. During a cluster phase I take 50mg 3times a day. It is not 100% effective (nothing is), I do sometime get breakthrough pain. If I do stop taking it during a phase I cannot function. It is hard on one's stomach so always take with milk/food. It is a NSAID med. I do sometimes feel a bit spacy about an hr after taking it but it soon passes and does not limit me in taking care of my children, driving, shopping etc. Indocin was the drug that allowed me to finally sleep during the night, I had not done that in 4 months.
