this go round of this topic discussion has produced the same results as other times we've had it, with other people:
the nearly unanimous consensus is that food items are IRRELEVANT as CH triggers -
meaning - there really ISN'T any good documentation OR collective experience that says ANY food is a predictable trigger
all those lists are improperly transferred migraine lists
as far as the CH goes - eat anything you want
UNLESS it has alcohol in it !!!!
ALCOHOL is a NOTORIOUS trigger
atom bomb level attacks almost always follow close on top of alcohol intake, IF someone is in the cluster period
It is my opinion that the different opinions you get from DRs about alcohol and cluster headache has more to do with the individual doc's personal relationship with booze, than it does with CH itself
if he's a boozer, he's gonna look for ways to make it OK for his patients to drink (like that business about "purer" types of booze - that is one of the OLDEST general use alcoholism defense excuses going - blaming things on the type of booze - and you will see it popping up in many contexts
if he isn't a rummy, & is up on the lit, he'll tell you NO NO NO - while in a cluster
