the only real problem with those high tension lines is that visitors from elsewhere in the universe use them as navigational guides while on earth surveillance cruises, and have also developed a way to draw off the power to recharge their onboard systems - which is why you have the power fluctuations that make your computer power conditioner go beep beep
IF you have been near these transmission corridors, and get repetitive sharply painful attacks in the templar or orbital area, it is more apt to be a slight reaction to the alien probes which you probably received along the corridors
they are beamed in as oppositely polarized energy particles, sorta like a magnetic Xray
when they hit the main trunk neurons surrounding the skull (where our bioelectrical activity is highest) the polarity alignment is sufficently disturbed that the particles essentially "congeal" into an electronically active node, which serves as a splitter and, in effect,a transmitter for the monitoring function
normally you wouldn't feel anything at all, either during implant or during the node's service life
BUT often people don't have their tinfoil correctly positioned, and the static feedback triggers the nerve-end siezures that manifest as the pain attacks
turn the tinfoil in your hat over - the shiny side is supposed to go against your head
that should fix the problem
