Hello Alan and Suzanne. You did not give many details like
what med's your husband has taken if any and how long he has been
having the CH's. I found a neurologist in Arlington, Tx name Dr.
Q.Mark Adams, he is also a headache specialist. I have had CH's since
age 21. I am 34. This wonderful doctor prescribed Amerge 2.5 for my
clusters and for the very first time I was able to
stop using the med's even before my cycle was up.
Mine last for 6 weeks exactly. Then won't come back until 15 months
later. The one thing about Amerge is that it is very expensive. Thank
God for insurance. I once read that medicare or medicaid will only pay
for 3 a month whereas I needed to take 2 a day for
six weeks. I was pain free in 5 weeks. It is truly a miracle drug.
I can also tell you as you may already be aware of..stay away from alcohol,
caffeine (in coffee and soda's and energy drinks) and chocolates. They
immediately made me feel as if my brain would explode. Hurry to a
neurologist and ask for info on Amerge 2.5. Please email me and let
