Let me put it this way, during the early eighties I started having severe headaches. Never had many headaches B-4 and was scared to death. These didn’t seem like normal headaches to me. I thought I might die any minute. I live in what most would consider a large small town 400,000. Medical treatment for most major problems is available locally. I went on a four year expedition with sixteen different Dr,s. both Md,s and Do,s. These doctors all seemed to care about my situation but I always got the feeling they thought I was seeking drugs. They would pat me on the head and give me midrin or some other ineffective drug for clusters. I was not able to be calm and collected during most of these visits as they were always during a cluster and I was desperate for help. I found an X-Air Force DO by accident one day that knew exactly what the problem was, went through the usual tests and finally found some relief with lithium and verapamil. I guess what I am saying is that what you are saying may depend on the point in time you began seeking help and what your frame of mind was at the time. I can't agree with the statement that most Dr,s will or can help you purely on your calm presentation of your condition
