I watched your show on sexual harassment on teens and young children and truthfully I
was outraged! I’m only 15 and I saw this show and it made me so mad! I watched as
the girl in year one mother was saying her daughter was traumatised by when a little
boy lifted up her skirt, in year 1 I was playing I’ll show you mine if you show me
yours!! I’m not saying I wouldn’t be ashamed, but her mother made a bigger deal out
of it then it was. Then there were the girls that were not much older, the boy was not
right in saying and doing what he did, but hey, you have to put your foot down! They
never once said that they yelled at him to stop, they let the boy walk all over them!!!
This makes me mad, girls should be taught to stand up for themselves!! When I
thought the worst was over the teenage girls spoke up!! Oh that made it worst!!! They
say they feel cheap when a boy yells out from a car such as “Hot stuff baby!”, it may be
just the girls here in Australia, but that always gives us a boost! We feel good because
someone notices us and thinks we are pretty!! These girls know they like it, they are
just making a big deal out of nothing! I think these kids are being made to grow up to
fast!!! At their ages I didn’t understand sexual harassment or even what sex was!! I see
these girls on your show or on other shows and they even look older then they are,
they are wearing 10 pounds of make up and clothes that make them look 20!! It may
just be people in Australia who are real old fashion, but us kids are living our lives and
having fun! We didn’t have to worry about suing people for saying something dirty!!!
What are their parents doing them putting them through all this at such a young age?
Let the kids be their age!!!!
