This may be long-winded. In 20+ years I never read anything about it and always tried to get as much material as possible. My statement comes from my own expierence from about 7 yrs ago. We used to have beef regulary (about twice a week). Worst CH (an absolute 10 lasted 7+ hrs) came after finishing a perfect t-bone. After that we (my wife and I) cut back to having beef maybe once every 10 to 14 days. Since then CH's diminished gradually over the next 5 yrs. Almost became managable; worst severity dropped to 3 or 4 and none lasted longer than 1 hr. I've been pain free last 2 yrs. As for fiorinal it combined with caffine (always drank coke classic during attack), relaxation techniqe and a hot compress almost always worked. Hope it helps.
