Couldn't agree more. I'd like to offer my assistance, as a representative of an alternate choice.
I propose that we have a worldwide non-prayer group comprised of agnostics clusterheads. We can meet here, at a time and date upon which we will be unable to agree and discuss the existance or non-existance of a supreme being, be he/she called god, allah, budha or whatever. Heck, all these religious types can't even seem to agree on what to call him/her/it, let alone what all the 'rules' are. No meat on Friday? Nothing but Kosher food? Don't eat cows? The Jews are the chosen people. The Jews killed Christ. Oh, and let's not forget to cover the issue of religion being at the root of virtually all the wars in history. And then there's the idea that 'witnessing' seems a bit like MLM to me...you tell 10 people and they tell 10 and THEY tell 10.....
Perhaps our first topic should be a discussion of the phrase "Religion is the opiate of the masses". That seems to fit right in, what with all the meds clusters take.
Then again, perhaps we could all understand that ch.com is meant to be a home for clusterheads. Some are Christians, some Jews, some Buddhists,
some Pagans, some Atheists, some Agnostics, some all the other belief systems I haven't listed. If one limited group uses the CHMB to present
their position, each of the others deserves the same right.
Result? No discussion of clusters.
BTW, Sonnie? Nothing here is meant to 'hurt you' in any way. Merely a demonstration of the 'other' side of the coin. I respect your beliefs, and ask only that you do the same for mine. That is, I believe, the 'Christian way'.
KTSSU,
