That was quite to bit to write. You obviously have done a lot of reading too. I agree with your observations for the most part but disagree about the duplicate postings. I believe you should use the search in post archives as well as post your question or comment. This improves our archives with different opinions, answers, point of views, etc., etc. As you said there are a lot on new users (actually you said visitors), many come and go and/or are off an on, etc., etc. The new users may provide new insight as well as learn new information. Granted most sufferers come here looking for information and find a host of new info. We get their experiences posted as well. Besides we've been hitting ourselves over the head with hammers, banging our head against a wall, and poking holes in our head for so long we've damaged our ability to think well (not necessarily speaking for everyone). And too, messages are not necessarily for information. They provoke conversation and togetherness. Let's not encourage any post that might be helpful in the smallest of ways.
