After I run (or even lap swim or cycle) I often get a very bad headache. Someone mentioned it might be a histamine headache, so I went searching on the web -- and came to this cluster headache section.
Anyone out there have experience (or answers) with getting headaches anywhere from three to six hours after exercise -- and I mean hitting it pretty hard. I don't normally have headaches that are out of the ordinary, but sure have fought this now for several years, especially when I've really pushed it, either pounding the pavement, swimming a mile in the pool or pushing it on the bike. (Yes, I'm an active person.)
They last through the night and usually are gone by the morning -- but not always. Aspirin doesn't seem to touch them.
