I started to have a negative reaction to your post, Susan; my usual arrogant dismissal of anyone who suggests "now just breathe deep; learn to deal with it, get your mind on something else". I mean, when I have a 10, there is nothing else in my universe. BUT, after thinking about your post, and after reading Margi's follow-up, and thinking about it some more, you guys are RIGHT ON. It is extremely important to remain as calm as possible during the early stages of a cluster attack, and the methods in your post are excellent. This is the best way to avoid a 10. Many times, even in the absence of abortive medications the demon will pass me by if I can just remain calm and in control. Of course if it DOES go to a 10 all this stuff is out the window. . . but, good post! Thank you!
