Hi Linda, Verapamil at 80 mg/day seems to me an extremely low dosage. From what I've read on the board over the last month, most people start at 240 mg/day and many go higher, to 360 or 480, and the highest amount I've read about was 920 mg/day. I am currently taking 560 mg/day and still get some break through attacks, but these are easily aborted with O2. Therefore, you should urge your doctor to increase the dosage, your heart permitting. Just watch out your bowels are working well.
