My name is Karla and I am a chronic cluster sufferer. Have been for
two years. These things hit me out of the blue from no where. I am a
firm believer in the lords healing power. I am 33 years old. I had
epilepsy. It got to the point where I was having over 30 complex
partial (petite mal) seizures a day. I couldn't drive any more, couldn't
work, couldn't take care of my 3 kids. It disrupted my whole life.
Lots of similarities between clusters and seizures as far as emotions
go. Then I started having grand mal seizures. I was alergic to every
anticonvulsant on the market at the time. Worse case senareo. You
know, the kind God does his best miricles with. I had recently started
attending an apostolic church and was anointed with oil and the
minister and visiting evangelist laid hands on me and prayed in Jesus
name for my healing. That was 6 years ago and I have not had a
seizure since. Praise God.
A friend of mine has epilepsy due to a problem with his brain. The
dr. recomended surgery but Jeff trusted in the Lord and refused. A
couple years latter (last month) he started bleading from the brain.
His brain swelled. He was on life support. The ventilator was
causing the situation to be worsen. If taken off ventilator he would
die. They gave him 3 hours to live. Jeff told them that either way he
was a winner because he had God. Our whole entire church went
into intercessory prayer for his health and healing. He told them to
take him off the ventelator. Drs. can't explaine it. They say it is a
miricle.
I can personally atest to many miricles I have seen in the six years I
have been living for God. Never loose faith and never doubt that
God is in the healing busness. All things are for his good. Jeff's
family was not saved. Because of seeing God's miricle and Jeff's
faith they are now closer to God because of it. We are to praise God
and that means even for these headaches. It is hard, I know. But we
must follow scripture. The Bible points to many reasons sickness
comes. One is sin. Personally I believe my epilepsy was a result of
my sins. Another reason is to test our faith in God such as was with
Job. Another thing to also consider is God will never give you more
than you can handle. Our sickness is our testimony. To believe that
God trusts me enought to bless me with this horrible condition called
cluster headaches is an honor to me. It shows he believes that I can
handle it and continue to walk with him and give him the Praise and
honor and glory he is due. Apostle Paul continued to pray daily
for a healing that apparently never came. But there is nothing
wrong with praying daily for your needs. The bible says God
knows the number of the hairs on our head. He knows what we
are going through and what we can handle. Never give up.
Refuse to loose and keep the faith.
Love a sister in the Lord,
Karla
