My cluster periods generally run 4-6 weeks with 6-18 month remission periods. Been this way for at least 8 years.
The first 20% of the cycle runs 3 HA's in 5 days, during the 2nd 20% its one every day, then at the peak its 2-3/day, then the frequency tapers off similar to the ramp-up.
During remissions I experience the random break-through HA, usually on the weekends, then out-of-the blue, just to remind me to NEVER be far from the meds again.
Intensity is generally 4's to 5's on Kip scale, except in peak when they are 8's and 9's. As garyg says, "and there's never been a 10. That makes the 9's bearable."
