Okay, I have always had to use Medrol (steroids) during my cycle to prevent the bouts. Sometimes the roids will break the cycle and sometimes I have to keep taking the roids for the entire cycle. My doctor now prescribes me a bottle of 100 4mg pills. They always stop the bouts the day I start taking them. Sometimes when I try to start tapering off the roids (1-2 pills a day) my bouts will start back up, then I increase my roid dosage again. The Verepramil (Verelan) in any dosage up to 480mgs/day has not prevented the cycles. Has anyone found a medication that has actually prevented the cycles (as in prevented them for over a year or so). My cycles seem to be getting closer together, I need to spread these things out a little. I can't keep taking the roids this frequently.
