Jackie,I have tried prednisone. My dosage was 80 mg for 7 days, 60 for 7day, 40 for 10 and 20 for 10days. I kept this up for 6 months with just a week in between therapies. I have a cycle of 6 months and need to be on meds. for the duration of a cycle- nothing has stopped a cycle for me yet- jsut relief if I take it during my cycle.Good luck
