I have never used this website before but have been suffering from cluster/maigraines for many
years (over 18. I found Sansert to be the most effective medication for stopping the cluster cycles
in my life. However, it does not begin working effectively until I have been on the meds for
several days, increasing the dosage from 2 mg per day to 8 mg per day at a rate of an additional 2 mg per
day every 2 days. The Sansert seems to keep the headaches from breaking through and I usually stay on the
dosage for at least 4-6 weeks, after which I wean myself off of the medication at the same rate as I weaned
on it. The headaches do not usually return for 1-3 years.
However, yesterday I suffered the worst cluster/maigraine I have ever had even though I am using the
Sansert and have been using it for 2 months. This is the first time in probably 10 years that I have had
a breakthrough like this. I am scheduled to have a neurological workup done Monday to see if something else
is going on. I don't think so, but need to find out what else might work.
Anyway, try the Sansert again. Be sure to wean yourself on the meds and see if the dosage will block your
headaches too.
