Cold air isn't needed to be breathed in ONLY for effectiveness. Yes, that's part of the help. In the summer I would stick my face in the freezer and breath it in. And Yes, I've found it to be helpful. It is a far cry from an abortive but it is a close cry to going from a 10 to a 5-7. And the winter? That beautiful month? I find myself with the heat off and all the windows open and sweat still pouring down my body. BUT, since that only diminishes it a bit, I go outside wearing nothing but shorts and stand in a blizzard for 10ish minutes. When I do that, it either aborts or drops the pain down several points. My point? The cold doesn't have a minor effect. It has quite a major one. On the other hand, this will be my firsat winter with O2 and don't plan on getting to that point this year, to the happieness of my neighbors.
