read the "imitrex tips" page, accessed thru button at left of CHMB screen
should effectively double the number of attacks you can relieve w/imitrex

investigate oxygen
closest thing to a universal abortive we have collectively found-
pure O2, 8-10 l/min, nonrebreather mask, at VERY first sign of impending attack, usually relieves in 5-15 minutes, stay on 3-5 minutes after attack ends
DON'T try to use as a maintenance preventive
DON'T stay on for long periods of time
requires 'scrip, but much cheaper than imitrex
search the CHMB archives - has been explained in details scores of times
many people have succeeded in getting InsCo authoriaztion by explaining $$$savings vs imitrex or ER visits

try generic benadryl as a moderating tactic
your attacks are probably somewhat predictable if you observe & maintain a log
take 2 or 3 benadryl about a half hour before you think a headache is coming
you can do this 4 -5 times in 24 and stay within the label maximum(generic is cheap, OTC - be sure you get the kind with ONLY diphenhydramine as the active compound),
generic is usually called "diphedryl" or somethimg similar -

good luck
