You describe them both perfectly. I had migraines for over 20yrs overlapping with CH at first, now only CH. Let no CH sufferer be deceived, migraines are not to be laughed at. They caused me more lost work days and overall suffering than CH's. The agony level is quite different but the duration can make up the difference. Hours to days instead of 15 mins to 1 hour. You know a CH will end soon - I always watch the clock if I am able- but untreated migraine goes on and on. The best thing is to fall asleep - it often goes while you sleep. Wheras CH wakes you up at night most often. CH's are pure unaldulterated hellacious pain for a limited time and a limited sequence (bar chronic, of which I cannot speak)while MHs have associated symptoms such as aurae , vomiting and nausea, intense sensitivity to noise, light. You might also give up eating as I did when I got them... enough said. May allbe free from both CH and MH!
