For those of you experienced at using Imitrex nasal
spray and managing the attacks, please tell me how
to ascertain if a sever attack is coming when the
pressure starts building-up behind the eye socket.
The pressure comes and goes and an attack doesn't
always follow.
My insurance doesn't cover outpatient RX and at $18/
spray I tend to wait until the last minute and some-
times it's too late. The Imitrex sometimes seems to
enrage the attack and it lasts up to two hours.
But I don't want to use the spray every time
I experience pressure- sometimes 3 times/day.
Usually I wait until the pain starts, use the spray,
then experience intense pain for 11 minutes before it
subsides. But sometimes it's too late and the Imitrex
doesn't work and I regret not having taken it sooner.
Since the pain comes on so rapidly it's difficult to
judge.
Anyone know what to look for?
Sincerely,
Jeremy
