I am a 45 year old CH with about the same history as most
of the rest of you with meds and doctors. I have been cronic
for about the last 5 years. Recently my neuro suggested trying
Topamax. He said one of the side effects would be I would feel
stupid (his exact words). I'm up to 150mg and other than losing
words occationally when I am talking I really haven't noticed too
many other sides. (it really comes in handy at home though, say
when I forget to take out the garbage etc.)
I really haven't seen any relief at this dose. Have any of you
cronics out there had any luck with this drug at higher doses?
We also started Singulair, an asthma drug that is showing promise
in migrane treatment. So far it is helping my (minor) fall allergies
but doing nothing for the clusters. Any experience here appreciated
also.
