Linda, I'm confused by a number of the comments you have made.
After reading your post, I scrolled down the board. I saw posts from Sarah, Krista, Wendy, Elaine, Ted, Carld and numerous others, asking questions or seeking support. I saw a lot of replies attempting to help. I didn't see any backstabbing.
If anyone has read the board and run, I'm afraid I don't know what to do about that. How can we help someone who doesn't post?
I'll admit, I'm getting a bit tired of all the talk about a clique. In reality, this group is comprised of numerous cliques. Pretty much what I'd expect from any group this large and diverse. If there is one 'main' clique, I submit it's the clique of people who can discuss, debate, disagree and remain friends.
I don't recall seeing a post which expressed doubt that you have clusters. Perhaps I missed that one, or just forgot it. I do know, as you also know, that we get many visitors here who don't know what condition they have. Some have undiagnosed clusters, some have other undiagnosed disorders and some have mistakenly been told they have clusters when they likely don't. All of these people receive thoughtful replies and suggestions. They also always receive the advice to see a qualified medical professional for an accurate diagnosis.
Your question was 'can we all work as a group'. I think we are working as a group. If you really mean 'can we all get along all the time?', my honest answer is absolutely not. Consider a relationship...two people deeply in love with one another, with common goals and dreams. Will they go through a year without a disagreement? Not likely. We have far more than two people here; we're not deeply in love with each and every other person and we only share one common goal and dream...finding ways to deal with the Demon until a cure or at least an effective treatment can be found.
Like you, I approved heartily of garyg's suggestions about reading posts. I'd add one more suggestion...if there are people here whose posts you find offensive, don't open them. Just slide your cursor right on past and read something else.
KTSSU,
T
