The only thing we all have in common is the beast.

What we must realize is that CH is a truely strange beast. Many of us can tolerate some things (MSG, chocolate, perfume, alcohol, etc) while others are slammed by minute amounts of a trigger substance. None of us should be too quick to jump to conclusions just because we are not affected by anothers trigger(s). For me, definetely in cycle and often out of cycle, MSG will trigger a CH and I think, sometimes, start a new cycle. Some of my worst recent cycles came when I was still in the rat race and travelling on company business, relying on resturant food. Back in the mid 70's we had a key punch operator that worked 2nd shift. Her 10 cents/gallon perfume would preceed her by the 3 doors it took for her to reach my office and would ALWAYS trigger a CH. It got to the point where I would go visit my boss before she got there and leave from his office at quitting time.

On the MSG issue, it is my understanding that is the foods that have naturally occurring MSG, it is chemically bonded (to protein?) and the added stuff is free. The free is quickly absorbed while the bonded is much more slowly absorbed. I do know that Cheetos, my favorite junk food (with MSG added) are off my list (sob) because in cycle they are a wammy and out of cycle they are at worth least a shadow. And there are of course, others (more sobs).
