There are a number of things that CAN cause dizziness,
but your description of dizziness on arising (or standing)
is consistent with "postural hypotension." It's remotely
possible that the Verapamil has lowered your blood pressure,
somewhat, or that you may be experiencing momentary
hypotension on sudden position change, also related to
the medication.
How long have you been taking Verapamil, and what is
your blood pressure history (and your general physical
condition? Heart disease, other circulatory problems, etc?)
