Just want to say a heartfelt "Thank You" to all the caring folks who E-mailed me after by first foray into your Website. I can't express how much better I feel, knowing there are actually people who understand what this is all about. They're impossible to describe, unless you've had them or live with some poor soul who does.
Bob P encouraged me to post a little intro on myself, so here goes...
I'm a 55 year-old female and have been a chronic sufferer of cluster headaches for over ten years. I am cursed with them three to six times during the evening and night, and have seen 28 various doctors and practitioners over the years, finding no relief. Found 50 pounds, though, from all the various meds I've been on, which slowed the old body down, NOT the pain. My longest period of "remission" was a night last March when I didn't have any.
I have received lots of new info from several people this week. I am seeing a new neurologist on the 1st, since I haven't seen anyone about these in over four years, so I will be sure to mention them to him. (I gave-up on the medical community big time -- they just do NOT understand these and most have an attitude that borders on sadism -- no one can really "appreciate" these unless they have them or live with someone who does.
Once again, thank you all for caring. I WILL be a regular from now on!
