verapil was developed for heart patients and has been and is a well tested drug for long term use, doses at that low of a level have not to my knowledge have any problems as i have asked several doctors that question myself, im a cronic suffere and am on anywheres from 480-640mg. ive been told that 640 and above for lomg term (years) could lead to some type of heart problem, but dont quote me on it.
