Periodically (about twice a year) I am woken in the early hours with extreme pain across the temples. The pain lasts for 10-15 minutes after which I am able to return to sleep. However, for a day or so afterwards, I feel numb around the temple. Is this a sign of suffering from cluster headache? When this pain first started when I was about twenty five my doctor stated that it sounded like a sort of migraine but as it was infrequent I should put up with the pain. I would be glad to hear from others who ar in a similar position.
