KJ - hang in there! I've had them for 28 years
and I feel for you. I went thru similar experiences
during the diagnosis phase and multiple doctors. I
find the best treatment to be a couple of excedtrin
and oxygen via nasal canula at the first sign of
pain. The pain dissipates after about 30 minutes,
like a miracle! I usually awake with them in the middle of
the night, so the oxygen is handy. If they come on
at work, I breath cold air from the air conditioner
unit. The biggest challenge is to stay calm. I
tried the Imitrex shots two years ago, but not this
time. I've taken prednisone on and off since this
cycle started on 8 Aug, and it may finally be working.
I've not heard of the ergo treatment. I hope it
works for you. Good luck and may you soon be pain
free.
