I have tried Imitrex pills before with NO success at all...sorry to say that... I always get FAST relief from my beloved injections haha.... then my next choice is Imitrex nasal which is pretty good usually but not as fast asa shoots..I have a job where I can not really miss time...so I always take my shots with me and as needed drop the old drawers at my desk..beats missing time !!
I would certainly not use Imitrex as a preventive as you are asking--- thats not the intent of it and its half life is too short too be effective for that use anyway.
