Yes they almost impossible for me to open when I get a headache as my hands are shaking too badly. I too keep one open at night on my nightstand and I cannot tell that it hurt the potency of the pill at all. It still works wonderful for me. If I am out somewhere that is when I take Maxalt the kind that will dissolve under the tongue. I am told by my neuro and pharmacist they are virtually the same type of medicine. It comes in a much easier package to open if you are having trouble getting them open and can be taken without water. I never use them together tho. Have been warned about that several times. Maybe your doctor can give you a few to try. For me the Maxalt is not quite as effective as the Imitrex pills tho but it can help on the smaller ones and especially while I am driving. It is all a guessing game sometimes tho.
Wish this beast would die or go away from us all.
