To all who stumbles across this message, I have been having cluster headaches for about 9 years. I have tried many medication, partial success with prednisone. But until very recently I had no abortve therapy. I have finally tried Oxygen therapy and am so glad I did. The oxygen takes the stabbing pain away in about 1-2 mins. I have read that the oxygen works for some people but not others (as many medications do with clusters).
Q1) Has anyone had inintial success with oxygen, and then found it to be ineffective over time ?
Q2) Has anyone tried oxygen as a preventative measure, inhaling for 5-10 mins prior to going to bed ?
Please let me know.
