I too have endured all the chemical apporches to CHA pain relief. I am now on oxygen therapy and I find it minimally effective. All of the Beta-Blockers and the Calcium-Channel blockers never did any good. Likewise for some of the ergotamine treatments. For me at this point in my life I have found that only Imitrex injection will work along with a stiff dose of a narcotic pain killer just in case of the rebound. Tylenol 3 works pretty good but when it doesn't something stronger is in order.
It puzzles me as to why the medical community doesn't treat this painful condition more agressively with narcotic pain killers. Personally I say the hell with dependence just get me out of pain.
