When I received my second mis-diagnosis of CH, the Dr. said migraines and prescribed Midrin.
I didn't think they did any good because I waited until one woke me in the night to take it. Then my sister (who really does have Migrains) told me to take it at the first sign, which varies but we all know the warnings for ourselves. She further told me take 2, then if needed in an hour take 1 more. (Her Dr.'s instructions). To cut to the chase...if I'm in the warm-up to a cycle Midrin helps, when I really get into the cycle they are ineffective. Now to the point...I asked my pharmacist and he said it is a conglomeration of meds but does contain a lot of Tylenol 3, and they really don't know why it works for some people. Hope this helps..sorry for the length. MG
