in talking with Mike's Mum that his Dad had, as she put it, violent headaches where he would hold his head and rock and moan until the headache passed. This was for a two-to-three year period before Mike was born. These "headaches" did NOT wake him in the night, however, but they DID come every season change for that short period of time. They hit 3 or 4 times during the day at the same time each day, lasting about an hour in duration. Now, the man was virtually headache free for the next 20 year period until his death at age 50.
