I am reaching the end of my cycle. This is the first time I have used Imitrex injections and they work great for me. The pain is always gone in ten minnutes or so. I have not used the tablet form of Imitrex but I do use the tablet form of Zomig which I think is similar. I can kind of tell how bad the headache is going to be so I try and save the shots for the bad ones and take the Zomig tablets for the less severe ones. Try washing the tablets down with a cup of coffee of tea the caffeine helps me in speeding up the process. The headaches react differently to the same meds from time to time, that seems to be its nature. I have been having them for 30+ years and what worked one cycle may not be as good the next time around. I am pretty happy with the Imitrex so far. It got me through this latest episode. 5 weeks and counting.
