I've been studying hard lately. Studying this disease. Lack of serotonin in cranial vessels causing them to dialate and result in severe, SEVERE, pain. Lack of serotnin also causes depression, risky behavior, the ultimate expression of which is suicide. It's all part of this disease. And it all needs to be dealt with. It's more than pain management, although that is very welcome during an attack. There's a psycological and emotional aspect there too.
Your wife has kept her headpain separate from you. That's pretty normal for a CHer. I sounds to me like it's time for you to step in and find out about her pain. Talk between headaches. Ask what she wants, what she needs, what you can do. Suicide is the ultimate call for help.
Take charge dude!
