Thanks for your thoughts Claudette and Petem. I got the job not sure how. The nurse who interviewed me kept asking if I was ready to cry. I laughed and said no, just allergies,I'm fine. (Great 1st impression) I think the reason I got it was because when she showed me around the Alzheimer living center one by one the residents started to follow us around. She thought it was strange and that it was something they wanted from her. I told her that actually it's me, this used to happen when I worked at a center 5 years ago. I walked down the hall and sure enough they all followed me with big smiles on their faces. I love children and older people(especially with alzheimer's disease, they are really special people) and for some reason they cling to me. When I go to the park with my kids the same thing happens with little toddlers, they start following me around. Must be on some conscious level they must catch the vibe that I love them.
Now it is at a seven, and I wasn't sure if I'd make it home by bus. The kids will be out of school soon, and wanting their attention and snacks. I'm ready to call in sick to my husband.
To everyone in pain today, I'll keep you company in thought.
