This trick usually works for me:
Take a vasoconstrictor (I prefer 3 aspirins to Indocin)
at least 90 minutes before the times you suffered
attacks on the previous day.
For me this entails setting the alarm for 4AM to
head off my usual 530AM attack.
I also do this at 130PM and 730PM.
After 2 days of successfully heading off attack,
I try
skipping this preventative measure.
However, once the first signs of an attack starts with that mild
pressure behind the eye, sometimes an hour before,
it's too late and only an abortive like Imitrex will work.
