It's possible that sugar, period, is affecting your headaches if you are prone to low blood sugar: ie: you wait to long to eat- result- you get light-headed, irritable, the shakes etc. for those of us, so affected, it is best to stay away from excess sweets especially during the afternoon and evening. No chocolate bars for tide-over snacks! Protein snack is best ( besides, chocolate is a known trigger!).
