Hi Bill & Michelle,
I’ve been on this board for about a year and Bob P has been around for a bit longer I think.
There is no “code words” or “CH jargon” except for things like, “shadows” which is what we call the low level dull, constant, pain that sometimes lingers before an actual attack. Of course there is the “Kip-scale” that is explained on the side bar. We use the word “precursors” to describe the teary eye and runny nostril and droopy eyelid stuff that sometimes begins a Cluster attack. But that’s about it.
Obviously when working in a message board environment with many people from around the world with various thoughts and ideas, you will see many, many, many, many, many different opinions. I think this is wonderful. I really enjoy reading the various opinions of people.
That’s what makes life so much fun. I’ve never viewed it as “snobbery”. I myself have tried the Chiropractic route and it didn’t work for me. I’ve also tried the Acupuncture route and that didn’t work for me either. I’m really open-minded so I’ll try just about anything.
In my humble opinion there is no CURE right now for Cluster Headaches. I’m surprised when I see people use that word in their posts when they talk about Cluster Headaches. I know of no CURE for Cluster Headaches. Why would this message board be necessary if there was a CURE for Cluster Headaches? We could simply post the CURE and people with Cluster Headaches could come here and print the CURE and CURE themselves. Right?
