Newsweek, back in January, had an cover-article on headache. It had only a couple of sentences about clusters, but one of them did point out that cluster pain is the most severe sustained pain that a human being has to endure. Yet, you can’t get a doctor to prescribe Stadol because it’s only for severe pain! That’s pretty fucking ironic! The only way to get Stadol is to be in severe pain, but, if you’re in severe pain, you can’t get Stadol. It’s still another version of Catch-22: the only way to get out of combat is to be crazy; but being crazy won’t get you *out* of combat, because you’d have to be crazy to want to be *in* combat.
