I used to take Prednisone at 40 mg/day. I took it twice daily for almost 2 months. I too ran into a hip problem though not as severe. I suspect it came from running and created bursitis as an inflammatory area but it cleared up.
I hate the stuff but it seemed to help. Made me eat like a horse, gain weight. I am in a current bout again and in the middle of a 2 month one. I used Verapamil but it lost effectiveness in about 3-4 days. I currently am using Sansert and Periactin. Combined together they seem to be working pretty good. Vicodin for pain if I get them. Hope you find what works for you.
