My children are in high school and I am a recent sufferer. Only one year in hell. We made a pact that I would be an at home parent till the very end. We can and I know the elite nature of my situation. In the beginning, my mother also had the "just get over it" view. She is behind me 100 percent now after I deluged her with print outs and any piece of information I could lay my hands on. Now her friends are giving her a lot of stuff. They are all seniors and all get Health Letters. From them I have been able to give my doctor information unavailable to me otherwise. My mom is one of the neatest people I know and her friends are cooler than cool. Use anything and everything you can to explain. You are not alone.
