Bob,
I can't say that I totally agree with your post, but I can say it was interesting. I will totally agree with you when you say that the C.H.'s are not a punishment from God. After my experience with the chiropractor I can also see key words from your posting when you mentioned aggravated nerves. If chemicals have worked for you to keep you pain free then that is what you have found works for you. I celebrate your pain free days with you. My experience with chemicals is not a success story by any means. I tried everything and nothing worked. I want to point out here that there was a typo in my original post. It has actually been 6 years since I had my first adjustment with the D.C., and that long since my last C.H. cycle. I was 25 the first time I had a C.H. and I was 32 when I had my last cycle. I am now 38. 6 years ago the neurologist that I had told me that my last option was to use O2. The inhaler I was using was taken off the market and I could only get it delivered from Canada. That made it very very costly to get then, and it only worked some of the time because I only had minutes and sometimes seconds before it was just too late. The doctor then decided to have me try a disolving tablet form that went under my tongue. However, that wasn't working half as good as the inhaler. Fortunately, the chiropractor found a better way for me. It seems that there are many different opinions out there on how to be pain free. I am not here to dispute any one of them, but I shared my story for those that haven't considered the option that worked for me. Like I said...I am not here to tell others what not to do, but rather to share with them an option that they could try that has worked for others. Also I would like to say regarding a previous post of yours.... I sincerly hope that your next cycle with clusters doesn't even come, but if indeed there is a next time, for your sake, I hope your new battle plan does the trick!! Good luck with it all.
