Yes, I have had attacks with all the symptoms of a CH, except for the pain. In my case, once I am "in-cycle", the attacks have always been fairly regular (once a day, about 23-25 hours apart, for 6 to 8 weeks). Each time that I get the medication to the proper level (either Verapamil or Lithium), the syptoms continue to occur (nasal congestion, bloodshot eye, etc), but the pain seemed to be blocked. Occasionally, the pain would break through, though only on a KIP 3-4 level. Then after about six weeks, I begin to slowly reduce the meds, and my cycle is over.
Hope this is your case. "Painfree" clusters are very easy to live with. :-)
